The Abra Diocesan Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (ADTEMPCO) through the Children and Youth Program conducted a 3-day Youth Entrepreneurship Seminar-Workshop held at the House of Hope (Bahay Pag-asa) in Calaba, Bangued, Abra, on October 29-31, 2020.

19 children in conflict with the law (CICL) under the care of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) participated in the said event that focused on Values-reorientation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership and Team Dynamics.

The Bahay Pag-asa clients were selected as recipients of the seminar-workshop since the objective of the program is to highlight the pivotal role of the children and youth in the cooperative sector as well as in nation-building. This also aims to provide access and true empowerment among the CICL as they are taught to harness their potentials and skillsets in readiness for their re-integration in the society.

The speakers for the workshop were Dr. Alda B. Bringas and Mr. Ernesto Lucky G. Blanco, the Children and Youth Program Officer of ADTEMPCO. Mr. Alfred T. Tolentino, the Training Officer of ADTEMPCO served as the facilitator of the said event.

The seminar-workshop was conducted as ADTEMPCO’s participation in the culmination of the national celebration of the Cooperative Month.
